The Buckaroo Band is Houston's only Cowboy Band featuring great Western Music in the style of the Silver Screen Cowboys. The music ranges from songs written on the cattle drive trails of the 1870s thru the era of the B Western Movie Cowboy Heroes such as Gene Autry, Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers in the 1940s. They also throw in a few Bob Wills style Western Swing tunes and some of the Marty Robins style gunfighter ballads along with more recent cowboy melodies focusing on the daily life of the cowboy.

Occasionally someone requests something more or different from the normal group. When that happens the band invites our pardner Rowdy Ron Rebstock who plays Banjo on one of his fine vintage Gibson banjos and Lead Guitar on his vintage Gibson L7 guitar. When Rowdy Ron and Bad Bob are both along for the roundup with The Buckaroo Band it is truly a thing of beauty.
Have Chuckwagon Will Travel
Our fearless leader, Wiley Pat Gavin, owns a real honest to goodness Studebaker Chuck Wagon built around the turn of the century (last century). You can arrange to have the wagon set up for a great static display and photo opportunity for your crowd or the perfect setting to serve the meal to your crowd. The Buckaroos have even been known to do the cooking in Dutch Ovens over coal fires like the cowboys did it on the trail.
